The Client reached out to us to develop software for managing and controlling Arctan click&collect devices.

Drawing on our experience and understanding of the retail industry, our objective was to provide a holistic solution that would enhance the overall click&collect experience and streamline related processes.

During the pre-development stage, we designed the solution's architecture and business processes,

based on the Client's guidelines and according to the requirements of Retail Robotics' first client. Together with our partners, we also determined how the software would interconnect.

Throughout the software development stage, we focused on the device's physical aspects, real-time processes, security and integrity with the system.

We used Java and Python to integrate low-level software with the business app.

To finalize the development stage, we conducted lengthy functional and load tests on physical devices at the Retail Robotics factory.

After the testing phase, Retail Robotics initiated the first pilot implementation of Arctan devices. Since then, the Future Mind team has continuously provided system monitoring and technical support to the Client.

The software that we created for Retail Robotics consists of three applications:

  • Local backend application for seamless integration with peripheral Arctan devices
  • Intuitive device interface application that facilitates smooth interactions and enhances control over click&collect operations
  • Central backend application that connects the entire network of Arctan devices, providing effective control and management capabilities
