Website design, web development, and partner solution integration for Dior

Client

Dior is a French luxury fashion house that was originated by the famous designer Christian Dior and is headed by the leader of LVMH, the world's largest luxury group. Dior is a public company traded at the Paris stock exchange. It was founded in 1946 and has since then maintained a leading position in the luxury fashion industry.

Background & Challenge

Dior reached out to us because they were planning a digital marketing campaign where customers could participate in a group chat with famous South Korean idol, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. The goal of the campaign was to promote the fashion house’s new lipstick range, Dior Addict, for which Jisoo serves as brand ambassador.

Challenge

On the backend, we had to design and develop a software solution that would withstand sustained, heavy usage for the duration of Dior’s limited-time marketing campaign.

Also, we had to ensure a smooth integration with Infobip’s chatbot solution, as the plan was to enable users to interact with their favorite influencer through WhatsApp – the first time such a solution would be implemented in the luxury fashion industry.

On the frontend, it was our goal to create a beautiful, intuitive landing page that would match Dior’s premium standard of visual identification.

Approach

We set out to design a minimalistic, stylish landing page that exhibited the products from Dior’s new Addict range. We created both desktop and mobile versions and created a simple user interface based on a call to action, which would be easy to navigate even for beginner users.

Then, our frontend developers translated the design into code, building a landing page that would look and work well on all devices according to the responsive web design approach. We used the React framework and included assets from the Material UI component library to streamline the process.

We partnered with Infobip, a leading communications platform for business, and integrated our website with their REST API. This allowed users to use Infobip’s WhatsApp-based chatbot solution and participate in a pre-programmed conversation with a bot based on Jisoo, Dior’s brand ambassador.

Results

Our collaboration with Dior and Infobip resulted in a successful and innovative online event that found recognition in various media outlets.

Despite the high interest of a considerable target group (9.6 million of Jisoo’s Instagram followers), the website maintained optimal performance at all times.

We’re proud to have made this first-of-a-kind marketing campaign possible for Dior and its customers, and we’re happy to have delivered another successful project in collaboration with our trusted Partner, Infobip.
