Orange Flex, Orange’s subscription service, is a state-of-the-art way to access telecommunications services that combines the benefits of long-term contracts and pay-as-you-go SIM cards.
Orange needed a visually appealing promotional website that would convince visitors to try the Orange Flex service and download the app used to activate the number and manage the subscription.
We took up the challenge and set out to design a beautiful website and support Orange in optimizing the existing information architecture.
Our experts’ suggestions were met with enthusiasm already during the tender process, so after officially launching our collaboration with Orange, we continued expanding on ideas we had already confirmed with the Client.
One of our main goals was to create an exciting design that would feel relatable to Gen Z and young Millennials: Orange Flex’s main target segments.
In order to achieve that, we needed to improve information architecture and come up with pays to communicate Orange’s offering in a concise yet dynamic way, with storytelling and eye-catching visuals.
building refreshing microinteractions into the user experience to make every visit on Orange Flex feel engaging and compelling.
Throughout the entire project, we maintained a close collaboration with Orange’s product owner, business stakeholders, UX team, and copywriter. We combined our expertise with their in-depth knowledge of the business to find the best possible way to communicate the benefits of Orange Flex to the target audience.
One of the main needs expressed by the Client was creating a dark mode for the website to emphasize the technological quality and visual attractiveness of its interface. As we set out to tackle this issue and create suitable visuals, our designers made the suggestion that dark mode should be the default for the website.
Orange’s orange-and-black color scheme is a great fit for a striking website, and the high contrast between the two hues makes for a highly readable composition.
Our experts prepared all the necessary components for both dark and light mode. We maintained close contact with Orange’s frontend team and built up an impressive synergy to make sure our work would enable fast and easy development on a later stage.
Thanks to the high level of consistency and parametrization of our resources, it was possible to provide both light and dark mode not only on mobile, which is an industry standard, but also on the desktop version, which is still a fairly rare occurrence.
