About the Role:

We are looking for a business-builder, a strategist, and a leader to launch, shape, and scale our Digital Commerce Practice. As the Head of Digital Commerce, you will be the architectural mind behind our commerce service offering. You will bridge the gap between our clients’ complex business challenges and our multidisciplinary delivery teams. This is a "Greenfield" opportunity within a proven, high-growth organization.

eCommerce Strategy & E2E Planning

  • Leading discovery workshops and strategic audits for enterprise clients to identify their digital maturity.
  • Designing End-to-End commerce ecosystems: from initial concept and customer acquisition to the intricacies of Supply Chain and logistics.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, helping them navigate Omnichannel challenges and ROI-driven transformations.

Business Development & Practice Building

  • Creating an offering for the consulting practice in the area of Commerce and Marketplaces. This role is focused on delivering value to the client; it is not a managerial role for the development team, but rather acting as a subject matter leader and building consulting competencies within this pillar.
  • Partnering with sales teams to win new enterprise opportunities through consultative selling.
  • Productizing our eCommerce services: from CRO and loyalty strategy to full-scale marketplace setup.
  • Working within OKR (Objectives and Key Results) frameworks to drive the practice's growth and commercial success.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Working hand-in-hand with our VP of Strategy & Design and VP of Software Delivery to ensure that the strategies you sell are feasible and impactful.
  • Fostering a culture of Thought Leadership by establishing Future Mind as a leading voice in the commerce space through articles, webinars, and active exposure at retail events, acting as the face of the Future Mind Commerce practice.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience: 10+ years in digital commerce, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects or business units.
  • Goal Orientation: A mindset focused on measurable outcomes and experience working with OKR frameworks.
  • Omnichannel & Supply Chain Fluency: Deep understanding of how digital and physical retail interact, including the backend complexities of fulfillment and logistics.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to build a business case, calculate ROI, and talk P&L with a CEO comfortably.
  • Technology Literacy: Understanding of modern e-commerce/marketplace technology stacks, their fit to client’s needs and business implications. Ability to discuss technology on a high level with CTOs and Engineering Heads.

  • You have a proven track record as an eCommerce Director who has built digital channels within a retail organization, or you have successfully led a Commerce Practice within a professional services or consulting firm.
  • You’ve been in the client's shoes, you know their operational pains, commercial challenges, and how to solve them.
  • You want to leverage your expertise to drive data-driven growth for multiple market leaders, rather than being limited to a single brand or traditional agency framework.
  • You are a "builder" who thrives on autonomy and wants to shape a new business line from the ground up.

  • Experience in a global digital transformation agency or "Big Four" consulting wing.
  • Strong personal brand and network within the European retail sector.

Recruitment process

We are looking for a true owner. Throughout this entire process, your main goal will be to convince us of your vision for building this practice from scratch and leveraging the Solita group network to scale our growth.

  • Initial Call: A brief conversation to align on expectations and goals.
  • Strategic Discussion: Meeting with our VP of Strategy & Design to dive deep into your consultative approach and strategic mindset.
  • Delivery & Tech Alignment: Meeting with our VP of Software Delivery to discuss how you bridge the gap between business vision and implementation.
  • Leadership Final: A conversation with our CEO about the long-term vision of the practice.
    Note: We may ask you to complete a practical task during the process to showcase your strategic thinking.
