Senior / Lead Magento Developer (Adobe Commerce)

About the role:

As a Senior / Lead Magento Developer, you will be the backend backbone of our eCommerce delivery. You will design and build Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce solutions and, above all, the integration layer that connects the shop with the client's business systems: ERP, PIM, OMS, WMS, payments, and logistics.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role. You will talk to client stakeholders directly, own technical decisions on your projects, and guide other developers. We are looking for someone who has shipped and operated real shops, not someone who has touched Magento once on a PHP project.

The platform is moving: Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service, Edge Delivery storefronts, and out-of-process integrations are changing how Magento projects are built. We want someone who knows the classic 2.4.x stack inside out and is curious about where it is heading..

What you'll do:

• design and implement Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce solutions - custom modules, extensions of core functionality, catalog, checkout, pricing and promotion logic,
• own the integration layer: ERP, PIM, OMS, WMS, payment and shipping providers, marketplaces - synchronous APIs as well as asynchronous, queue- and event-based flows,
• work directly with client stakeholders: run technical discovery, clarify requirements, propose solutions, and explain trade-offs in business terms,
• lead the technical side of delivery: architecture decisions, code reviews, estimations, release planning, upgrade and patching strategy,
• keep platforms healthy: performance, scalability, security, observability, and the cost of running the shop,
• mentor other developers and help build Future Mind's Magento and commerce delivery standards,
• support pre-sales activities: scoping, estimates, and technical input to proposals.

What we're looking for:

For this role specifically, we're looking for:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building eCommerce applications on Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce, with a portfolio of shops you have delivered and run in production,
• strong PHP 8 backend skills and a deep understanding of Magento internals: module architecture, dependency injection, plugins and observers, service contracts, indexers, message queues,
• proven experience integrating Magento with backend business systems - ERP, PIM, OMS, WMS, payments, logistics - with at least two such integrations delivered end-to-end,
• solid knowledge of Magento REST and GraphQL APIs and of designing integrations that survive real-world data: retries, idempotency, monitoring, reconciliation,
• confidence with the infrastructure around Magento - MariaDB/MySQL, Redis or Valkey, OpenSearch, Varnish, RabbitMQ, Docker, CI/CD - and a good sense of what breaks performance and where to look,
• experience as the go-to technical person on a project: estimations, code review, technical decisions, guiding less experienced developers,
• strong interpersonal skills - you can talk to a client's eCommerce manager, a warehouse lead, and a designer, and be understood by all of them,
• fluent English (C1) and Polish - client communication is conducted in both,
• the legal right to work in the EU.

Nice to have:

• Adobe Commerce certification (Developer Professional / Expert, or Architect Master),
• out-of-process extensibility with Adobe App Builder, I/O Events, and webhooks,
• modern storefronts: Hyvä, Edge Delivery Services, or a custom headless frontend on Magento GraphQL,
• Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure or Magento on a public cloud, plus major upgrades or replatforming projects,
• Shopify Plus or another enterprise commerce platform,
• retail domain knowledge: omnichannel, click and collect, B2B, multi-market setups,
• agency or software house background, working with several clients in parallel.
