ETOS, the owner of Diverse, Diverse Extreme Team and Coalition brands, approached Future Mind seeking a complete overhaul of their mobile presence. Their legacy app no longer met modern user expectations, so ETOS needed a partner to redefine Diverse's mobile strategy and execution.
Their goal was to create a modern, intuitive shopping environment that would resonate with their young, trend-conscious audience while providing the technical robustness required for a seamless e-commerce experience.
We set out to create an end-to-end solution that could bridge the gap between Diverse’s ambitious vision for a personalized shopping journey and the technical realities of the existing backend.
Our team conducted a deep analysis of the existing app’s performance and market positioning. Through business and creative workshops, we identified key opportunities to differentiate Diverse in a competitive market.
We also developed concepts for engaging loyalty mechanics designed to foster long-term customer retention. We then defined the product backlog for both MVP and post-MVP phases, ensuring a strategic roadmap that aligned with the brand’s long-term growth objectives.
Atlas allowed us to hit the ground running by using a proprietary library of pre-built, production-ready components for both design and code, significantly reducing development time without cutting corners. Our toolkit provided essential building blocks for complex flows, including user authentication, the product listing with advanced filters, and a robust search engine.
It also accelerated the delivery of core features such as the product page, shopping cart, checkout, the user profile, order history, returns, and store locators, as well as engagement features like notifications and support.
By leveraging Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), we maximized code sharing between iOS and Android to ensure a native feel and optimal performance, delivering the entire project from concept to finished MVP in just five months. This approach provided Diverse with a future-proof solution that combines cost-efficiency with the superior user experience their audience of digital natives expects.
We created a comprehensive design system and visual language tailored to Diverse’s branding, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. The UX prioritizes speed and convenience, featuring a shortened purchase path that allows users to select sizes and add items to the cart directly from the listing view.
To drive retention and loyalty, we introduced the digital Diverse Club card, giving users instant access to exclusive promotions and offers directly in the app. We enhanced the practicality of the solution with GPS-based store locator functionality. Furthermore, the design accommodates multi-language and multi-currency support, ensuring relevance across diverse markets.
We navigated the complexities of Diverse’s existing Magento backend, identifying and resolving technical constraints early on to ensure stable connectivity. By optimizing API data fetching, we ensured the app remained fast and responsive, providing a smooth experience even with high transaction volumes.
We also implemented robust logic to handle critical edge cases, such as inventory availability changes during checkout, guaranteeing a reliable user journey. Beyond the standard Atlas toolkit, our engineers custom-built key features according to the client’s unique preferences, including a dynamic home screen and a deep category navigation structure. We also developed the loyalty program interface and a user-friendly address management section, along with a newsletter module.
In just five months, we delivered a fully functional native application designed to handle high traffic. The solution features a personalized dashboard and seamless loyalty mechanics. By combining strategic insight with cutting-edge technology, we positioned Diverse to effectively compete in the digital fashion retail space.
